In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, Mr. Suhrid Ghimire, Barbara Foundation's board member and Chairman of Continental Trading Enterprises, has announced to honor the health workers who are employed in the treatment of COVID-19 patients with Rs 10 million.Continental Trading Enterprises is the sole authorised distributor for KIA, Isuzu, and Komatsu in Nepal while Barbara Foundation is a non-government, non-partisan, and non-profit autonomous institution that works in transforming the lives of communities in Nepal’s remote and disadvantaged villages by empowering and educating the villagers and introducing them to income-generating activities.Chairman of Continental Trading, Mr. Suhrid Ghimire, said that he would provide cash assistance of Rs. 100,000 to 100 health workers from all over the country. Aditi Ghimire of the enterprise also informed that they are helping to raise the morale of workers who are at risk of COVID-19 infection. The Barbara Foundation will select and reward the health workers.Barbara Foundation believes this philanthropic initiative to support health workers during the COVID-19 pandemic will encourage the morale of the health workers throughout the current crisis.
